We offer a personalised broad and balanced curriculum, offering an exciting range of subjects to all students, at all levels, using interactive, practical lessons that are enjoyable and stimulating. The aim of the school is to provide every student with a broad education that provides skills and knowledge and develops an understanding of the human experience, of the world about us, and of the values and standards that prepare them for adult life.
Years 7 - 9 (age 11-14) study the following subjects:
English, Mathematics, Science (balanced course), French or Spanish, Art, Dance, Drama, Music, Design and Technology, History, Geography, Physical Education, Tutorial Support (Self & Society:- Careers, Citizenship, Health and Environment and Religious Education).
Years 10 - 11 (age 14-16) study the following core subjects:
English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science (double award allowing all students options of going onto 'A' level Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Physical Education, Design Technology.
They can also choose from the following options:
Expressive Arts (from Art, Drama, Music, Dance and PE).
Humanities (from Geography, History, Media Studies and Business).
Languages (from French and Spanish). Additional Languages include Gujurati, Urdu, Polish, and Mandarin.
Self & Society (Careers, Citizenship, Health and Environment)
Year 12 - 13 can choose from a selection of the following subjects' at AS and A Level:
Art, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, Design, Music, English, French, Spanish, Geography, History, Sociology, Mathematics, Further Maths, Theatre Studies, Media Studies, Government and Politics; Performing Arts, Business, Psychology, Information and Communication Technology.
BTEC Nationals in Performing Arts or Health and Social Care and BTEC Firsts in Health and Social Care, Business, Leisure and Tourism
