Community involvement

We consider ourselves an integral part of the local community and we offer opportunities for students and members of the community outside of school hours, with classes, adult learning opportunities and access to the sports facilities.

In addition to this all sixth formers participate in the Award Scheme Development & Accreditation Network (ASDAN) award scheme which incorporates work in the local community. All students are also encouraged to work within the community through the Year Programmes.

Adult Education

We offer a range of adult evening courses for Internet beginners and people looking to advance their career by improving their overall IT Skill levels.

SamLearning - Parent workshops

Sam Learning is an eLearning revision and exam preparation tool and can significant improve a students exam results.  We run parent education sessions exploring homework strategies and showing parents and carers how to track their child's progress.

October 2008 sessions

These 20-minute drop interactive sessions will help parents and carers explore smarts methods of supporting homework and helping students prepare for exams.

What are the benefits of attending?
By the end of the training parents and carers will have:

  • Learned how to track student homework or revision progress
  • Understood how to use SamLearning anywhere, anyplace, anytime.
  • Shared experiences and practical ideas with other parents and teachers on tackling homework and exam preparation.

Course Fee

  • Free of charge to Hampstead School parents
  • £25 per session Non-Hampstead School parents

Drop-in times start: 3:30
Session available up to: 6:30pm

Places are limited to 20 participants per session and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis

With over 60 languages spoken by students at Hampstead School, we are truly an International school. This was recognised by the British Council, who recently awarded Hampstead School with an International School Award.
