2008 Spring term Projects
Sierra Leone - Freetown Girls School
In partnership with University of Sierra Leona and Cisco Systems, this Gender initiative project aims to work with girls in Freetown, Sierra Leone and girls in Hampstead School, London on a range of subjects including music, art and geography and business through OpenSource technology.
Connecting Youth Around the World - Year 7 Project
The Lens on Life program will film young people in their respective environments in the US, the UK and their counterparts in their new schools. It will assure an exchange of ideas, photographs, stories, filmed material and video diaries between the students so that all participants get a real and engaging sense of their respective ways of life....read on
Palestine - Abu Dis Boys School
Inspired by a Hampstead School Sixth Form student, this partnership has grown rapidly over the past 8 months. In practical terms the link is supported by Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association (CADFA), a Charity based in London to ensure Hampstead School is culturally supported.
Anglo-French partnership programme
This Science inspired projects aims to explore Physics and other subjects through French as well as giving students an opportunity to swap exam cultures. Supported by the French Ministry and the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust in the UK, the project will be lead by Isabelle Bechtold at Lycee Freppel and Florence Fineberg at Hampstead School.
