ICT

Hampstead School provides courses in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from Year 7 to Year 13. The school possesses seven ICT suites and additional facilities to encourage student use of ICT.

Students in year 7 are taught ICT as part of their integrated curriculum course.

Year 8 students have one hour a week of ICT in which they follow the key stage 3 ICT strategy. They learn how to use DTP, Spreadsheets, Databases, webpage authoring and control software.

Year 9 students follow the Functional Skills Level 1 course. In year 10 students study the Functional Skills Level 2 course, and they can also choose to study the DIDA course (Diploma in Digital Applications).

In the Sixth Form Hampstead School currently provides the EDEXCEL AS/A2 Applied GCE in ICT.

Year 12 students complete 3 units, one is an exam that is externally assessed.

In year 13 students complete another 3 units and gain the A2 qualification.
