Independent Learning Centre

The Independent Learning Centre (ILC) has undergone a hugh refurbishment over the summer. Our traditional library is well stocked with many current titles. The fiction section is particularly popular with students and a request stsyem is in operation should we not carry a specific book.

Lower school students are welcome in the ILC during break and lunchtimes. During these periods we have a suite of computers available for independent study, typing up homework and accessing SAMLearning, Fronter and MyMaths.

As part of the whole school rules, food, drink or chewing gum should not be brought into the area. Bottles of water are permitted.

In addition to the curriculum, the ILC encourages literacy through Reading Challenges for Year 7 and Year 8. An after school Book Club for Year 9 runs once a fortnight in collaboration with other Camden School Libraries.

The Careers Library is open every Friday lunchtime and staffed by one of our Connexions Advisors.
