100 Days Initiative

At Hampstead School we believe that being in the right place at the right time doing the right thing is crucial to the success of our school community.

We are excited to share the launch of a new school-wide initiative: “100 Days”. This initiative is designed to promote positive habits and strengthen our school culture by encouraging students to consistently meet three key expectations: being in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing, and recognising the positive impact these choices have on learning and achievement.

Why 100 Days?

The idea behind the “100 Days” is to create a clear and focused period in which we can promote the high standards we expect from all members of our school community. Research shows that sustained, consistent routines over time can lead to long-term improvement. By working together across these 100 days, we aim to build habits that will last well beyond the end of this term.

Our Three Core Themes

  1. Being in the Right Place at the Right Time.
This includes punctuality to lessons, purposeful movement around the building, and being present and ready to learn. This sets the tone for the day and maximises learning time.
  2. Doing the Right Thing.
We are reinforcing expectations around respect, following instructions, and being kind and supportive to others. These behaviours build a calm and purposeful environment for everyone.
  3. The Positive Effects on Culture and Attainment.
When students follow routines and behave respectfully, it creates a more focused, respectful, and inclusive learning culture. This directly supports better academic progress and stronger relationships within the school community.

How You Can Support

We would love for parents and carers to partner with us during this initiative. Here’s how you can help:

  • Talk to your child about the importance of routines and respect.
  • Encourage them to reflect on their day and celebrate the positive choices they’ve made.
  • Support punctuality and preparation at home to help ensure a smooth start each day.

We’ll be tracking progress, recognising success, and sharing updates regularly with students and families. Together, we can create a stronger, more positive environment that helps every student thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.

On 30 April 2025, Hampstead School Choir joined 1,800 young people from 51 schools to take part in the Camden Schools’ Music Festival at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. This year’s concert featured 16 pieces of music, and marked the fourteenth Camden Schools Music Festival since its launch in 1998, continuing a proud tradition of celebrating music in the borough.

The event was a joyous evening of musical celebration, with performances by the Camden Concert Band, Camden Youth Orchestra, Camden Youth Jazz Band, and school choirs, and was also live-streamed to enable those who could not attend in person to share in the magic of the evening.

Events like this remind us of music's vital role in schools and life - fostering dedication, collaboration, and responsibility in our students, whilst boosting their overall achievement, self-esteem and wellbeing.

GCSE Drama students went to see the play Dealer’s Choice at the Donmar Warehouse. This intense production takes place at a poker game where the stakes get high, and the game turns savage. The students really enjoyed the production design and were impressed by the lighting and the staging.

Mohammed said ‘The poker table revolves, enabling the audience to see the characters from different perspectives.’

Aimee said ‘The long blackouts with the bursts of 90s music were great at showing the passage of time’.

Well done year 10’s, we have lots to write about!
