Hampstead School Newsletter

This term has started with great energy, positivity, and a collective commitment to our school motto: Think Big, Work Hard, Be Kind. It’s been wonderful to see our students and staff embracing new opportunities for growth and success. A particular highlight has been the Year 9 Parent Consultation Evening, where the strong partnership between families and staff was evident as we worked together to support students in reaching their full potential. Thank you to everyone who attended for helping to make it such a productive and inspiring evening.

We were also thrilled to welcome the National Youth Jazz Orchestra to Hampstead School this month. Their visit brought incredible talent and creativity into our community, inspiring students with the power of music and collaboration. Moments like these remind us of the importance of thinking big and embracing the arts.

On a broader level, Sir Keir Starmer’s recent policy announcements on artificial intelligence highlight the need to embrace innovation in education. Camden Schools, including Hampstead, are fortunate to be supported by Google DeepMind, based in King’s Cross, to harness AI’s positive potential for our students.

In fact, this very introduction was written with the support of AI—just one example of how we’re exploring new tools to work smarter and aim higher!

NEW PARENT GOVERNOR
We are sad to be bidding farewell to our outgoing parent governor - Richard O’Sullivan. His dedication and hard work has greatly impacted our school. We appreciate his commitment over the years to improving our children's education. However, his decision to move on also means we are delighted to be welcoming the arrival of a new parent governor – Katy Hatton. We are sure her fresh ideas and perspectives will invigorate our Governing Board. Katy said she wants to be involved as she thinks Hampstead School is a great place with a very healthy community and she wants to see it prosper.
