So here we are already! We're entering the final term of the academic year after the Easter vacation. We return to a short half-term with 23 school days and 2 long weekends. It’s a time of lighter moods and brighter weather for many – longer, warmer days to enjoy!
For others though, it can also be a time of anxiety and stress, as students work intensively and spend long hours revising for the summer national examination season.
Year 11 and 13 students, in particular, will be focused on their exams while reflecting on their time at Hampstead School and planning their next steps and destinations. Let us all remember the pressures this time brings and be mindful of offering encouragement and support.
This is just the beginning; after half-term, the exams and pressures continue. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Just like the crowds cheering the London Marathon runners this coming weekend, our school community can support our fellow students running their own marathons this summer.
As students strive to reach their academic goals and personal bests, they have also spent many, many hours training, just like the participants of the London Marathon, to reach that finishing line.
Good luck to all our runners this term – we are all right there with you!!!!!
