I am writing this introduction after one of the best fortnights of the year. Not only have we enjoyed exceptional weather, but last week saw the extraordinary International Arts Festival. This event embodies the ethos and culture of Hampstead School so well and, on a personal note for me, is the sort of event that made me want to move to London to begin with. This year didn't disappoint - fantastic food and drinks, amazing outfits, wonderful poetry. A life-affirming event that I hope you managed to enjoy.
Also, last week, many students enjoyed a production of Frankenstein by an outside theatre group. This had fantastic staging and was much enjoyed by all.
Year 11s concluded their public examinations last week and celebrated this with a graduation event. Thank you to all those who supported a very busy event. Similarly, Year 13 also had a fantastic graduation event on Tuesday. We have very high expectations for the results of these fantastic cohorts of students. I send them all my best. They can now enjoy a long summer before their next steps in September!
Stay safe over the very hot weekend and, while I'm thinking of it, please do ensure your child brings plenty of water to school during these hotter parts of the year.
We look forward to seeing you back in school very soon.
