Hampstead School Newsletter

The last few weeks have been truly memorable: from the International Arts Festival and Sports Day, to Donmar’s Frankenstein, the Year 11 Celebration, Year 13 Graduation, the First Story Launch, The Brilliant Club finale, Sports Personality of the Year and the Year 10 Gliding Trip — and that’s just the start. The energy, creativity, and spirit of our school community have shone through every moment.

None of these events would have been possible without the enthusiasm and talent of our incredible students, the unwavering support of our dedicated parents and carers, and the tireless efforts of our outstanding staff team.

As we wrap up the 2024–25 academic year, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every member of the Hampstead School community. Your contribution is what makes our school such a vibrant and special place.

Wishing you all a restful, rejuvenating summer. Encourage your child to explore, learn, and take full advantage of the many exciting opportunities this remarkable city has to offer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the autumn, refreshed and ready for another inspiring year ahead.

- Matt Sadler, Head

First Story London Voice

Earlier this year, Hampstead students taking part in the First Story creative writing programme recorded performances of their original work with a professional sound recordist. This was part of the First Story London Voice oracy pilot, a project for which Hampstead is one of six schools to be selected to take part in.  The students' work has now been turned into a podcast which is now available on Spotify, Apple and other major providers.

First Story writers also celebrated the launch of their latest anthology 'Our Last Breath of Words' on Monday 23rd June. It was a fantastic afternoon where parents, teachers and friends came to congratulate the writers and heard performances of their work.

It is available to listen on the First Story London Voice Podcast: https://shows.acast.com/first-story-london-voice/episodes/1-thunder-and-shipwrecks-at-hampstead-school
