Hampstead School’s annual Sports Day will take place on Friday 10 July 2025 at University College School Sports Fields (UCS SF), Farm Avenue, Circlewood NW2 2BH, which is located behind Hampstead School. This has proven to be a real highlight in recent years.
Students should go directly to UCSSF, arriving at 0820, where they will register with their form tutor at 0830. Students will be dismissed at 1400, from UCS SF.
To get to UCSSF from Westbere Road, walk up Menelik Road and turn left onto the public footpath. The entrance to UCSSF is through a gate 100 meters up the footpath on the right. From Cricklewood Lane, go down to the end of Farm Lane, where it joins Hocroft Road and enter through the main entrance. Their respective Head of Year will direct students to their registration area at the entrance. Please see the map on the other side for more details.
If the weather becomes too wet / hazardous for the event to continue, students will be dismissed directly from UCS SF as soon as it is deemed too dangerous to continue. We will text you in this eventuality, but please ensure that your child has a set of keys if they are dismissed early due to inclement weather.
If for any reason your child is absent on the 10 July, please use the Study Bug application to report your child absent by 0830. If we have to call off the event due to very bad weather, we will text you by 0800. In that case, all students must attend school as normal in full school uniform.
The weather can be very hot. Please ensure your child has adequate sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water (preferably a reusable bottle) and waterproof just in case it rains.
If your child does not receive free school meals, they must bring a packed lunch.
All students are expected to wear their Hampstead PE kit of a red Hampstead polo shirt, black plain tracksuit bottoms or black shorts and suitable trainers. Our expectations of student conduct during Sports Day remain extremely high. Students must exhibit exemplary behaviour and follow all staff instructions. Failure to do this may result in your child being sent to the HUB. Students will be expected to lock their phones in their pouches as they would ordinarily on a normal school day.
Finally, if your child suffers from any medical condition such as asthma can you please ensure that they bring their medication (e.g. asthma pump, epipen) with them on the day and inform their tutor.
