As the first half of this Autumn Term draws to a close, all school staff send thanks for your support across the last eight weeks. This period is always an acclimatisation, as returning from summer holidays soon develops into 'seasonal' weather with darker journeys to and from school.

The annual ritual of turning the clocks back takes place early on Sunday morning, so hopefully many of our community can enjoy an extra hour of rest. The timing of next week's half term holidays means there will be a short period for students to acquaint themselves with the new regime and hopefully enjoy more sunlight in the mornings.

However, a huge amount of work is still planned at school, with our £1m de-carbonisation project continuing with further LED lighting upgrades and ground works for the future installation of air source heat pumps. Our First Aid Room will also be expanded to offer an improved space for treatment and to better protect the wellbeing of students.

We hope you all have an enjoyable week and will look forward to welcoming students back on Monday 4th November at the normal time.

Half Term Holidays - Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November

A reminder that the half-term holidays are next week. We encourage students to use this time to recoup from the busy first two months of the school year, and to prepare for the term ahead.

Flu Vaccination Registration Reminder - Tuesday 5 November

Camden Council is offering Hampstead School students in Years 7 to 11 a free flu vaccination during the school day. If you have not already done so, please see information in the Communications Archive or CLICK HERE to opt-in.

Remembrance Day – Thursday 11 November, 13:00

Staff and students of Hampstead School would like to invite you to join us at 10:30am on Monday 11th November 2024 to recognise those who have died in defence of freedom and peace. A two-minute silence will follow at 11.00am as we reflect as a whole school community. Please RSVP to events@hampsteadschool.org.uk.

Student Showcase

Selected Y8 students took part in a nationwide art project with the Southbank Art Gallery. Artists worked with students looking at their own identities and backgrounds, as we thought about personal family history. This is an ongoing project which will be made into a digital Zine (a small magazine) which will be shared online.

Year 11

Monday 4 to Friday 8 November - Pre-Public Examinations

A reminder that the week we return from half term is Pre-Public Examinations week, the timetable for which can be found on TEAMS. Students must attend school at normal times and will be expected to be in regular timetabled lessons when not in examinations. Results will be communicated prior to the PCE.

The Exams faculty would like to communicate to Parents/Carers that the Pre-Public and Public exams over the next 8 months will be under formal exam conditions. Please see details of all the formal exam regulations on our exams page, and speak to your child so that they are aware of our behaviour and conduct expectations.
