Hampstead School Newsletter

As we move further into the term, we’d like to take a moment to recognise the maturity and resilience our students have shown following the recent incident at school. Their thoughtful conduct has been genuinely commendable and it has not gone unnoticed.

With just eight school days to go until formal exams begin, there is a real sense of focus and determination across the school. Staff and students alike are working hard to ensure everyone feels prepared and confident.  Good luck to all our students.

At the same time, we are already looking ahead with excitement to what promises to be a fantastic summer term - full of opportunities, achievements, and moments to celebrate together.

Whole School Notices

Exams are under way!

Well done to the Year 11 Art and Photography students who have completed their exam this week! A quick reminder that although the public exam series formally starts on Thursday 7th May,  we will also have the Speaking exams for French, Arabic, and Spanish next week on 29th and 30th April.

Notice from Attendance

Spring and summer are coming, and hayfever season is starting. Please make sure your child has the medicine they need and that it is up to date.

Hayfever can make children feel uncomfortable, but they should still come to school. With the right medicine, they can learn and join in with lessons.

If your child is ill just before or just after a school holiday, the absence will not be authorised unless you give medical proof.

Please try to take holidays during school holiday times so your child does not miss learning.

If your child has a medical appointment, please tell the school as soon as you can. Try to book appointments outside school time if possible.

You must show proof of the appointment, for example a letter, card, or text message.

Usually, only one session (morning or afternoon) will be authorised for an appointment. If the appointment takes all day, you will need to show proof.

Thank you for helping your child come to school every day.

Students with Medical Conditions Notice

For parents and carers of children with medical conditions, including (but not limited to) asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes, or epilepsy.

It is essential that the school is fully informed of your child’s medical condition. We must also have spare, in-date medication provided in its original pharmacy packaging, along with a current healthcare plan.

This is not only critical for your child’s safety while at school, but it is also a statutory requirement.

We appreciate those families who have already provided this information and medication. If you have not yet done so, please ensure these are supplied to the school as a matter of urgency.

International Arts Festival - New Date!

We have changed the date of our International Arts Festival, and it will now be held on the 2nd of July 2026 from 5pm to 7.30pm. Please make sure you update your diaries!
